Decemberrrrrrrrrrrr!


  • This week we had CRAZY HAIR DAY and mustache day!!
  • December 1st the grade 5 class has a test on MATH,so wish them luck!!
  • We have a Birthday Boy in the class that just turned 11 years old,and his name is Jase Sherry!!
  • Rascal our school elf is coming pretty soon so watch out for him because he is very sneaky
  • Grade 6 has just had a math test this week and did really good so give them a pat on the back
  • This week we made a write up on what we did over our weekend and marked it ourselves on how good we did, then we discussed it with Mrs.Toombs.
  • In  health we are learning about pathogens and diseases.     
  • It is getting colder every day so make sure you come to school dressed warmly.

Keeping Up With ACC!


  • ACC'S having the annual book fair starting November 15-November 17.
  • We also had a birthday on Sunday Happy birthday Kayanna. It was her 11th birthday.
  • So we do have 2 birthdays coming up next week. We have Jorden's on the 19th and Brooke's on the 22th.
  • There is NO SCHOOL on Friday this week. Due to parent teacher interviews. YAAAAAAA!
  •  There is a scavenger hunt November 15 for the kids during school hours. 
  • Keeping up with the blog will help you know whats going on at school. But it doesn't only help you know it reminds your kid what the activity is so they can pack all the proper stuff!

Remembrance Week


Hello everyone,
we, the grade 5/6 class  have been very busy the last few weeks!
  • We have been working on poems,essays,and posters for a remembrance day contest.
  • Grade 5 class had a math test and so did the grade 6 class.
  • The dentist came to check our teeth.
  • We had started soccer in gym.
  • In french we have been working on our finale project.
  • No school Monday

Happy Halloween


  • Today is picture day!All of the classes are dressed up and ready to smile.
  • Grade 5's are working on equivalent fractions and grade 6's are working on mixed numbers.
  • Yesterday Mrs. Toombs started reading records.
  • So also we are working on getting our AGENDA SIGNED,DOING HOMEWORK ,and getting it back and forth from A.C.C to home.

3 Day Week for Students


  • This week there is no school Thursday and Friday.A four day weekend. We are having students share their Autobiography each day and we had seven great examples each day.      
  • In math our students are working on fractions and decimals in math and last week the students had a test and there was one student that got the bonuse question right.  
  • We have started a new unit on health and so far we were dicusing how to stay clean and giving hints or telling other people that they should have a shower at least once every one or two days
  • Through the week of school we have been studying about PEI history and learning more and more each time we hit the books we also learned about different people that has been in the newspaper.
  • In class we have been changing seats lately and on one side of the room are the Grade 6's and Grade 5's the other side of the room
  • We have started our guide reading groups and they are doing amazing but when they don't read their book they lose two points.

Keep up to date with us!

  • It's the time of the year for a math test. To test our skills!
  • We're working on autobiography's (story of our life) and they are due Monday and we're sharing them next week. Please have your child read it aloud to parents multiple times over the weekend that would be great thanks!!!!!!!!
  • We hope you had a great thanksgiving. Hope you got to see some far away family even if they are from here and you don't get to see them often!!! 
  • OFF TO THE WETLANDS WE GO!!! Make sure you take your rubbers (rubber boots) And a extra warm jacket and maybe even a sweater it is going to be chilly and you don't want to get soaked because that would not be the best scene!!! This event will take place on Friday make sure to take a snack that will sit in your back pocket if you get a little hungry.
  • Book Buddies are going great so far those little second and third graders are the bomb.
  • Our class is doing the best in music it is are first year in band and we already know how to play HOT CROSS BUNS!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

  • We won the verbal abuse award and each class had to wear different color shirts we were yellow.
  • The last  few days we have been working on our autobiographies and the  rough copy has to be done by Tuesday,October 10th. Please read them over at home with your child  this weekend. Everyone is taking them home. And make sure they  all include their birth,family,friends,neighborhood,hobbies,events,and their future goals.
  • In math we are learning about decimals to the thousandths they are really hard but fun.                    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GO DECIMALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • And a big congrats to: Brooke with 46th place,Savanna with 20th place,Cohen with 26th place,William with 18th place,Sarah-Beth with 16th place,Jaedyn with 17th place,Celine with 15th place,Lucas with 32nd place in cross country.
  • No school on Friday and Monday

First Month Comes to an End

  • In Social Studies we are working on a project where every one wrights a newspaper article on a famous person from PEI                                                                                                                            
  • In writing we are working on an auto biography on ourselfs explaining our life stories                       
  • Vessey Seed fundraiser update the Vessey Seed fundraiser funds were due Monday                       
  • In Gym we started our soccer unit.We started off by playing line soccer and hope to start our soccer games soon                                                                                                                                                
  • In math the Grade 6 class has moved on to integers and the grade 5 kids will still work on a little more Place Value before next week hopefully they will start doing decimals

Welcome to Our Class Blog

We have had a busy first 2 weeks here at A.C.C.
We have been enjoying getting to know our new
Students-April,Kayanna,Celine,Charbel.

We are all getting back in the routine of school.
In writing we are continuing to work on our writing strategies to develop our details.
In Math we are working on place value.
In Social Studies we are learning about P.E.I history.


We have done our first fitness test IN Phys.Ed.
We will be doing 2 more in March,and June.
Lot of kids have broke the school record  like William who did 50 push-ups,KEEP-UP THE GOOD WORK!

The Terry Fox run was September 15th 2017, we raised around 425 dollars.The money our school raised was sent for cancer research.

Our class is very pleased at the fact that William made the golf team.Our school begins cross country today and a majority of the class has signed up.
Our grade 6 people will be getting permission slips sent home to get their vaccines for H.P.V. good luck to them. The first dose will be delivered on Oct 11th.

We celebrated Kemper and Lochlin's birthday on Sept 7th. And we will surely celebrate Savanna's 10th birthday on Saturday Sept 23.
 This will also be our classes first year in band.
